I was spiritually engaged during a worship service, and I asked the Lord what was one of the road blocks that was keeping me from having more freedom in my relationship with Him? He told me that it was impatience. Impatience is the opposite of Patience, and patience is one of the fruits of the Spirit. I asked The Lord why impatience would cause me to not be able to have more freedom in my relationship with Him? As the Lord so often does, He answered my question, with a question. He asked, what happens when you become impatient with someone or something? I settled my self into this question, knowing He was going to bring me the revelation. It changes your Character and your attitude, he said. When you get impatient you become frustrated, and then you become angry, then you get even more frustrated because now your angry. These give birth to resentment because when dealing with others, your having to repeat yourself because they're not listening or the situation you were in hasn’t changed, or at least not fast enough. So now, your Character has become angry and frustrated, and then your character becomes resentful, causing you to stay silent about what is going on. This cause you to become standoffish, and then you decide to take it into your own hands and do what you had asked someone else to do, and in this, you become even more frustrated and angry because now you have to do it yourself. See, through your impatience your attitude has changed into anger, frustration and then resentment, which will affect your Character and cause you to become an Angry person, a Frustrated person, and then these other feelings come with resentment, causing you to want to avoid the person. Son, next time impatience comes, ask Me for Patience, which is one of the Fruits of My Spirit and I will give it to you. When impatience comes against you all you need to do is ask, and My Spirit will come along side of you and bring you patience.
